PsycINFO

PsycINFO, a citation database produced by the American Psychological Association (APA), contains nearly four million records in the behavioral sciences from over 2500 indexed journals. PsycINFO also provides coverage of the psychological aspects of other disciplines, such as law, social work, and nursing.

Search limits that are relevant to the discipline of psychology, such as Methodology, Tests & Measures, and APA’s Classification Codes for subject matter are available. In addition to keyword searching, PsycINFO can also be searched with a controlled vocabulary, the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms. Think of this as similar to PubMed’s MeSH Thesaurus, but focused specifically on the subject matter and terminology of psychology and behavioral health.

PsycINFO is accessible from the database drop-down menu on the library homepage. It is available on the EBSCOhost platform and can be searched simultaneously with other EBSCOhost databases.
